The planetary path starts at the parking lot Linden with the sun and leads the visitor on a comfortable and wide walkway along the planetary panels to the Lägern-Hochwacht.

Lägern-Hochwacht

A wonderful view opens up once you reach the Lägern-Hochwacht. To the south you see the Alps. Turning left you overlook Zurich and its lake, the Furt and Limmat valleys onwards to the Kloten airport region. To the north, your view includes the Black Forest to the Vosges Mountains in the distance. Jets can be seen over the lowlands of Zurich while approaching or departing from the Zurich airport.

The 2020 renovated mountain restaurant Lägern-Hochwacht invites thirsty and hungry hikers to stop for a bite to eat.

Hike from the Hüttikerberg parking lot to the Altberg and the lookout tower. Past the "Pfadi Hüttikerberg", a varied forest trail leads over hill and dale up to the Altberg Waldschenke , partly also along the ridge with a view into the Furttal.

Waldschenke Altberg

Once on the Altberg, a climb to the observation tower is a must. The view sweeps over the Limmat valley and Zurich to the Alps in the south and in the north over the Furt valley to the Lägern and over the airport region to the Black Forest.

Hikers, bikers and dog walkers from all directions meet in the rustic Waldschenke for a cozy get-together and enjoyment, in fine weather also under the cozy leafy roof of the garden restaurant.
