Start and finish of the small Furttal round at Buchs-Dällikon train station.

From there, the route first leads through Buchs and then along the old railroad embankment to Otelfingen with its well-preserved village center. The route continues via Otelfingen train station, through the Otelfingen Golf Park, along the renaturalized Furtbach, back to the starting point at Buchs-Dällikon train station.

A leisurely loop, without any notable climbs, well suited for a short family outing.

Turning point of the small Furttal round !

The small Furttal round can also be completed by starting at the Otelfingen train station. This route first leads through the golf park Otelfingen, along the renaturalized Furtbach to turningpoint train station Buchs-Dällikon, then along the old railroad embankment back to Otelfingen and from there back to the starting point at Otelfingen station.

A leisurely loop, without any notable climbs, well suited for a short family outing.

Otelfingen train station

The starting point for the big Furttal round at the Otelfingen train station.

Along the Furtbach, a well-maintained bike path leads to Adlikon, Regensdorf and from there on to Katzensee along the nature reserve. At the Besenbeiz Seeholz, the turning point of the tour, you will experience a wonderful view over the idyllic lakes and the nearby wetland. The circular route around the two lakes continues past close to the Katzensee public lake-side bath, where you can cool off during the hot periods of the year. Continuing on a big loop past the restaurant Waldhaus Katzensee and the Katzensee estate, the route continues through a piece of forest back to the Furtbach cycle path, turning back in the direction of the Otelfingen Golf Park and train station.

A leisurely tour without any major climbs with various opportunities to stop for refreshments.

TURNINGPOINT
Regensdorf-Watt, Seeholz

You have reached the turning point of the tour when arriving at the Besenbeiz Seeholz.

Here you can enjoy a wonderful view over the idyllic Katzensee lakes and the nearby wetland. From here the course continues around the two lakes and back to Otelfingen train station. See the description starting point of the route

Alte Buchserstrasse Dällikon

The start of this challenging bike tour is appropriately located at 2-Rad Ruprecht in Dällikon.

From Dällikon, the trail initially continues on flat terrain passing through the industrial area onward to and through Buchs (440 m.a.s.l.). From here the route gradually starts to climb, leads through the forest above Buchs past the "Tüfelsloch", crosses the road from Boppelsen to Regensberg at the pass "Mötschen". Continuing an area called "ob der Wolfsgrueb", where the route makes a sharp curve, and the "Bildstock", and finally turns into the Planetenweg leading to the Lägern-Hochwacht, situated at 850 meters above sea level

FINISH
Lägern-Hochwacht

The strenuous climb is rewarded with a fantastic panoramic view. From the eastern part of Switzerland over the central part of Switzerland to the Bernese Alps, a wonderful alpine panorama shows itself. Nearby, one looks over Zurich and the lake, the Limmat and Furt valleys as well as the airport region. To the north, the view sweeps over the Black Forest and the Vosges in the distance and the Wehntal as well as the Zurich Unterland at the feet of the Jura foothills "Lägern".

For thirsty and hungry bikers there is refreshment in the 2020 renovated mountain restaurant "Lägern-Hochwacht".

Altberg Waldschenke

The start of the Däni Biketrail is behind the Waldschenke Altberg. The flowing downhill trail is varied and interesting. It leads along the former hiking trail, over the Stägenrüti down to the edge of the forest from Dänikon to the Gugelstrasse.

Dänikon Gugelstrasse

From Gugelstrasse it is possible to continue down via Mühlegasse to Dänikon. The Gugelstrasse leads east towards Zurich or back to the Altberg.
